REACH Students Visit Community Day at TCC
Students and teachers of REACH High School participated in a unique learning experience at Tarrant County College’s South Campus on Thursday March 29, 2019. 
REACH Fall Graduation
REACH High School graduation is always a very exciting time for everyone involved. Students work very hard to make their dream of walking across the stage to receive a high school diploma a reality. This dream came true for ten REACH High students on Friday, January 25th, 2019. 
Mihalicz Receives Jack Harvey Award
In addition to having the Secondary Teacher of the Year for 2017-2018 as part of the REACH family, we now also have the only teacher in the district who is inducted into the Jack Harvey Academy of Exemplary Teachers this year. 
Future Leaders Program – Session #4
On January 23rd, the YMCA Future Leaders Program embarked upon the Saginaw Community Center as well as Texas Motor Speedway. 
School Board Appreciation
Although our CISD Board of Education is deeply appreciated all the time, January is the month selected to express our gratitude as it is officially School Board Recognition Month across the State of Texas. The Alternative Learning Center was privileged to be able to show our appreciation to Mrs. Mary Lou Martinez. 
REACH Students Volunteer at the VA Hospital
On Friday, January 18th, twenty students went to the Fort Worth Veterans Administration Outpatient Hospital to volunteer in various capacities. Some of the students greeted veterans as they arrived, others served cookies, and others spent time talking and getting to know the heroes.

We are REACHing new heights together, learning knows no boundaries. REACH students are using Edgenuity and Achieve 3000 to prepare for EOC exams.

Student Progress Monitoring
In order to assure a consistent and efficient procedure in student progress monitoring, students were introduced to a new progress monitoring system on Monday, November 26th, 2018. 
Northwest YMCA Future Leaders Program
On October 24th, nine REACH students attended the first of seven sessions in the Northwest YMCA Future Leaders Program. Melany A., George C., Cody D. Elyssia E., Samuel G., Jesus G., Angel H., Elizabeth R., and Anna T. spent the day at orientation and team building at YMCA Camp Carter. 
Cyberbullying Prevention Week at REACH
Next week is Cyberbullying Prevention Week at REACH! On Friday, our students made posters for us to hang up later in the week in anticipation of the week to come.

Heather Lamb, Librarian at Castleberry High School, visited REACH High School on September 21,2018. 
The Few, The Proud
When a student enrolls in REACH High School, not only is there an immediate focus on the goal of graduation, but there is also an immediate focus on a successful life beyond graduation. For this reason, guest speakers are invited to speak with our students in many various capacities. This year, in addition to colleges, trade schools, and such, each branch of the military will be presenting information to our students.

Students and staff gathered in the Commons Area on September 6th to reexamine the school’s current vision statement. Mrs. Byther led the students and staff in a process which began with the definition of a vision statement and continuing with a vision writing session.

REACH recognizes English Teacher
Nadine Mihalicz was recognized as Secondary Teacher of the Year
We are very proud that our English teacher, Nadine Mihalicz, was recognized as secondary teacher of the year on the last day of school in May. 
Reach High School Awarded Transformation Fund Grant
REACH High School has received the tremendous honor of being designated a preliminary awardee of the 2018-2020 School Transformation Fund Grant from TEA.
