REACH Students holding mums and garters
Four REACH students have given some children at Irma Marsh Middle School a special night by making them mums and garters for Castleberry ISD Homecoming. REACH students made a total of one mum and five garters for six CBI students at Irma Marsh Middle School. The students used materials they bought with their own money or brought with them. ELA teacher, Mrs. Mihalicz, helped and supervised the group of students while they had fun working. A member of the group, Cyn said, "I hope they enjoy their mums and garters as much as we enjoyed making them."
On October 16th, Aime, Angeles, and Dustee went to the middle school and delivered the mum and garters to the students. Afterwards Aime V. stated, "I was excited to have this opportunity to make other students happy. When we arrived at the school and gave the mums, the kids were so excited which made me so happy!" Angeles felt the same way about the encounter as Aime, saying, "It warmed my heart seeing how happy the students got when they received their mums." Upon returning to REACH, Dustee said, "It made me feel happy and grateful to help make someone's day."
