Four REACH High School students successfully met all of the requirements of Latinas in Progress(LIP), a powerful educational series, sponsored by the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas(HWNT). Since September 2019, these scholars, Jessica B., Alejandra B., Daniela C., and Abigail S. visited five college campuses, performed acts of community service, and participated in valuable and informative workshops which prepared them for their college experience after high school graduation.
On Saturday, May 16, 2020, HWNT hosted their annual LIP Graduation & Scholarship Program via Zoom. These REACH High School scholars were among 76 Fort Worth area Latinas who graduated as members of the Latinas In Progress Class of 2020. Of the scholarships award, REACH High School students received four.
Alejandra B. received the Sandra Garza Sagalo Consulting Scholarship.
Daniela C. was awarded the Victor & Martina Treviño Altré Media Scholarship.
Abigail S. won the Margarita Rodriguez Chavez Memorial Scholarship.
Jessica B. received the Dr.Robert Muñoz Scholarship.
